Mail-In Vote Fraud Cook County Style

I live in Cook (Crook) County, Suburban Chicago, IL.  Here are some of the ways I see that fraud can occur in mail in voting, based on how vote fraud has historically occurred in Cook County.
1. Mail in votes from Republican areas get "lost in the mail" and fail to meet the deadline to be counted.
2. A friendly Democrat pays you for your blank mail in ballot so s/he can fill it in and mail it for you.
3. Ballots sent to the dead are collected and filled in by Democrats and mailed in.
4. Ballots sent to people who have moved are collected and filled in by Democrats and mailed in.
5. A friendly Democrat offers to mail your ballot for you, then alters it on the way to the mailbox.

In Cook County, "Vote early, vote often," is a cliche.  Another joke is,"No matter how you voted in life, once you're dead, you vote straight Democrat."  Democrats who claim we don't need to worry about vote fraud are funny or naive.

Contrary History: Richard III and Henry VII

Who benefited from the allegation that Richard III killed his nephews? Richard III had the children of Edward IV declared illegitimate by act of Parliament in 1483. Henry VII reversed this act in 1485 so he could marry Elizabeth of York, Edward IV's oldest daughter (Richard III's oldest niece), unifying York and Lancaster. However, this act also legitimized Elizabeth's brothers, if they were still alive. Hence the motivation for alleging Richard III killed his nephews.

There was a revolt in 1487 against Henry VII (Tudor) led by a man claiming to be Richard III's younger nephew. The self-styled Richard IV was recognized by the Duchess of Burgundy, who was Richard III's sister, and the King of Scotland, who married Richard IV to a Scottish noblewoman. This revolt was backed by the Earl of Lincoln, who was Richard III's designated heir, and had no motive to back an imposter over his own claim.

Caxton's printing press gave the Tudors access to one of the world's earliest propaganda machines.

Opinions of Henry VII differ.  One of the things his reign is famous for is Morton's Fork, named for Cardinal John Morton, Henry VII's Chancelor and chief tax collector.  Cardinal Morton told people he was squeezing one of two things:  1. If you're spending a lot of money, then you must have a lot of money, so you can afford to give some to the king.  2. If you're not spending a lot of money, then you must be saving a lot of money, so you can afford to give some to the king.

Unlike his Yorkist predecessors, Henry VII didn't engage in trade for his own account.  He was always broke, so Morten had to raise a lot of money for him.

NO! to Blue State Bailouts

Congress should just say "No!" to blue state bailouts.  States are the laboratories of democracy.  I think that blue state budget woes are an experimental result that should be emphasized, not covered up with bailouts.  How will blue state voters learn their lesson if they don't have to pay for the consequences of their votes?  How will everybody learn the consequences of liberal policies without loud blue state defaults?  The Pravda Press isn't going to cover the budget problems unless Congress says "No!"  People aren't going to believe the federal debt is a problem until at least one big blue state defaults.

How Far We Have Come: Sen. Tim Scott

Senator Tim Scott (R, South Carolina) sums up how far we have come.  As a Black man, Senator Scott would probably have had trouble even registering to vote in South Carolina before 1964.  Senator Scott has won two general elections for Senator against white opponents in South Carolina, the Cradle of the Confederacy, where the electorate is over 60% white.  Senator Scott was one of the main authors of the Republican tax bill that President Trump signed into law at the beginning of his presidential term.  Senator Scott was also the author of the Republican police reform bill, which Democrats filibustered in order to prevent a Republican victory on police reform.

It's ridiculous to pretend that Republicans in the South are all, or even largely, racists.  The places Democrats are complaining about are all big cities with Democrats in charge.  Many of these cities have had Democrats in charge for at least 50 years.  It's time to stop the divide and conquer strategies of identity politics.
